There were no written instructions and you do need two people to lift and assemble the bed but it was generally quite easy to put together . The draws came assembled so that was helpful and with the limited number of holes and screws it is quite easy to work out which screws go where. It looks great finished , has great storage under the head end of the bed and we couldn't be happier with the bed . There were 6 large items to transport home but no fiddly assembly , just connecting the large pieces together.
