Lenzing Tencel is a natural cellulose fibre from eucalyptus trees, sustainably farmed and harvested without pesticides, irrigation, or genetic manipulation. The chemicals used in the process are less toxic and are utilized in a closed loop process, meaning anything left over is recycled to be used again. The Tencel production process has received the European Award for the Environment from the European Commission.
